JEDDAH - The Haj Ministry announced yesterday that it would not accept any new applications for three years to bring foreign Haj pilgrims through companies and travel agencies due to lack of space in the holy sites to accommodate them.
"We have a long list of tourist companies that presented their applications last year to get permits to organize trips of Haj pilgrims," the ministry said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
The ministry made the statement after observing representatives of companies, travel and tourism agencies and charitable societies at its headquarters and branch offices in Makkah and Jeddah to present new applications to get license for bringing pilgrims from outside the Kingdom.
