A woman in Madinah, who fell victim to dental malpractice that caused her to lose many of her teeth, wanted a court to order that the teeth of the dentist be removed as a form of punishment instead of the SR28,000 settlement the court ordered the dentist to pay. According to local news reports, the judge balked at the request and upheld his decision, ordering the dental clinic closed until the sum is paid.
Man Pay Fines With Stolen Money
BURAIDAH, 1 June 2007 — A Saudi man was arrested here for accessing another person’s bank account and withdrawing money to pay SR21,000 worth of traffic fines, the daily Al-Madinah reported yesterday. Police said the man stole money to pay his friends’ fines as well. Great idea!
