RIYADH, 3 June 2007 — Prince Salman ibn Abdul Aziz, governor of Riyadh and chairman of the Higher Committee for Saudization, handed over to Dr. Kasib Al-Rashidi, head of Learning and Development at SABB, a memento and a certificate of appreciation for SABB’s efforts in supporting and encouraging Saudization program.
SABB received the award as a diamond sponsor and for its continuous support of Saudization program, and in training and IPA graduates. The bank won the IPA award for 3 consecutive years.
Tareq Al-Shubaily, general manager human resources at SABB, said the presence of Prince Salman and the bestowing of award to SABB “reflects (his) keenness to appreciate the bank’s efforts and those of all other institutions that employed a higher number of Saudis.
During the last years, SABB has focused on establishing a long-term strategy for effective Saudization by attracting graduates from universities, colleges, institutes and higher schools to join them in the bank’s continuous training programs, which have been specially designed to develop the skills of staff.
SABB has established 3 training centers that prepare annual training plans in all sectors according to their requirements. Training courses range between 6 months and one year to qualify newly joined staff.
