According to the charity organizers, the highest bids received were for the priceless moments of afternoon tea with Nelson Mandela and Albertina Sisulu, an opportunity to spend time with Sir Richard Branson at one of his Virgin Unite projects, a round of golf with Hollywood star Samuel L. Jackson, and lunch with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The charity auction, which opened for worldwide bidding on the May 14 offered people worldwide the opportunity to fulfill their dreams by bidding online for over 50 “money-can’t-usually-buy” priceless moments with South African and International celebrities, business people, movie and sports stars.

French jeweler Cartier has announced the debut of its charity initiative in Saudi Arabia, which is expected to secure an important donation for the Ensan Organization, headed by Riyadh Governor Prince Salman. Today, Cartier will celebrate all over the world at the same time, the new “Love charity” bracelet designed to reflect the humane facet of love by generating funds for various charitable and humanitarian organizations around the world. “Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Cartier. We are extremely excited to continue helping the society supporting different important causes in the world raising funds and increasing awareness for humanitarian organizations” said Cartier Middle East Managing Director Patrick Normand. “The bracelet features an 18-karat white gold mini-love-one-on-a-silk cord, available in all Cartier boutiques across the Kingdom.
