RIYADH, 8 June 2007 — The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) yesterday named Prince Sultan ibn Salman as the best public personality in the area of charitable endowments while Princess Jawhara bint Faisal ibn Turki and Princess Aadila bint Abdullah won separate recognition for the top businesswomen in support of social and charity projects.
Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chamber of Commerce Abdul Rahman Al-Jeraisy announced the names of the winners of various prizes for social and charity activities instituted by the RCCI.
A total of 11 prizes are being awarded for the contributions in the fields of charity endowments, care for the orphans, education and scientific research and foreign companies operating in the Kingdom.
Sheikh Khaled Al-Barahim will be awarded the prize in the individual section for his material support to charity endowments in various cities in the Kingdom.
The award for the orphan care goes posthumously to Muhammad ibn Saleh Sultan.
The Abdul Aziz & Saad Company is selected for the prize for institutions supporting orphan care.
Hamoud Al-Badar has been selected as the best public personality in the field of orphan care.
The prize for education and scientific research went to Muhammad Al-Khodair while the Faisal Academy has been adjudicated as the best institution in the field of scientific research.
The best public figure in the field of education and research went posthumously to Sheikh Othman Saleh.
Exxon Mobil has been named the best foreign company offering distinguished service in the field of social and charity activities, Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday.
