TAIF, 10 June 2007 — Police in this highland southwestern Saudi city have initiated a campaign to crack down on street vendors at traffic lights, Al-Watan newspaper reported yesterday. The authorities have started the campaign after receiving a high volume of complaints about people selling trinkets and other items at stop lights in the city.
