RIYADH, 12 June 2007 — Riyad Bank has donated SR1 million to Prince Salman Center for Disabled Research (SCDR) as contribution for improving and supporting the center's activities.

Receiving the check, Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the center’s board of trustee, expressed gratitude on the role of the bank in this field and its continued support for the humanitarian works.

Riyad Bank Chairman of the Board Rashed Al-Rashed noted the humanitarian role of the center, saying that the current donation represents a part of the SR5 million donated by the bank to the center.

He said the bank contribution underscores the support of the bank to the center to carry out its works and realize its humanitarian salient objectives through research.

Mohammad Rabiah, vice president and society services management, said Riyad Bank so far has contributed financially in creating number of charitable centers and associations as well as educational foundations over the years. The bank has supported financially the creation of Disabled Children Association Center in Jeddah, among others.
