TAIF, 13 June 2007 — Taif police arrested two drug dealers while they were trying to cross a checkpoint. On investigation, police found that the driver had nothing to prove that he owned the car. The passenger was caught with 14 forged checks. An official at the Drugs Combating Department told Al-Watan that a search of the vehicle yielded drugs.
Robbers Gang Busted
DAMMAM, 13 June 2007 — Police arrested members of a gang involved in robberies in Dammam. Police were able to arrest one person who turned out to be a member of the gang of robbers. Information gleaned from him led to more arrests. The man, during investigation, confessed that he had committed a number of robberies along with other members of the gang.
