MAKKAH, 14 June 2007 — A gang of seven robbers broke into the home of three Asian expatriates last Tuesday in Makkah’s Al-Kakaia district severely beating them and stealing SR32,000 that they had.
“The three victims are Pakistani, Bengali and Burmese nationals, who worked for a scrap store. After work, they took the day’s takings home and were unfortunate to be robbed and also severely beaten up,” said Maj. Abdul Muhsin Al-Maiman, spokesman for Makkah police.
The three men were taken to the Al-Nur Specialist Hospital and are said to be seriously injured.
