RIYADH, 17 June 2007 — Pizza Inn has launched a major promotion here yesterday — the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia — that will reward its customers with an opportunity to participate and win free flights, free room, resort nights, free amusement park vouchers and many more. China Southern Becomes Popular

RIYADH, 17 June 2007 — The recently launched China Southern Airlines service to Jeddah is fast becoming popular among Saudi businessmen and tourists. “This new China Southern Airlines which was introduced in April to target Chinese contract workers is now attracting a large number of locals and expatriate workers,” information counselor at the Chinese Embassy Pan Liang told Arab News yesterday. The service originates in Urumqi in China’s far Northwest and operates direct to Sharjah before continuing onward to Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz International Airport. China Southern Airlines operates from Jeddah on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1645 hours. Codenamed CZ, the airlines operate Boeing 737 aircraft to China with a stopover in Sharjah. Porta Reef Fund Launched

MANAMA, 17 June 2007 — A new fund aimed at $90-million Porta Reef project to be developed within Reef Island in Bahrain, was launched yesterday by Abu Dhabi Investment House. Porta Reef, located in the southern part of Reef Island, extends over an area of 16,016 square meters and is divided into three land plots to be developed into three residential towers with luxurious apartments. “Porta Reef Investment Fund is the second fund that Abu Dhabi Investment House launched in two weeks. Recently, Sunset Hills Fund was launched in cooperation with Sorooh Investment Company,” Fawaz Al-Jowder, director of investment in Abu Dhabi Investment House, said. (Walid Mazi)
