DUBAI, 18 June 2007 — Panasonic launched yesterday the Middle East launch of its VIERA series of plasma and LCD TVs for 2007 at a press conference held in Dubai. The new plasma range includes TH-50PV700, TH-42PV700, TH-50PV70, TH-42PV70 and TH-42PV7, while the LCD lineup is made up of TX-32LX700, TX-26LX70, TX-32LX70, TX-26LE7 and TX-32LE7. The new VIERA range of plasma and LCD TVs come with Panasonic’s V-Real II technology that give images exceptional detail on large screens with rich gradation and faithful color reproduction. ‘Automobile City’ to Be Set Up in Dubai
DUBAI, 18 June 2007 — Al-Nabooda Automobiles will build an “Automobile City” over more than one million square feet for its Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen cars. It will become operational by 2009 at Dubai Industrial City, the emirate’s leading industrial destination that offers a one-stop solution for the automotive industry. Rashed Al-Ansari, CEO of Dubai Industrial City, a member of Tatweer, signed the agreement to set up the “Automotive City” with Khalid Khalifa Al-Nabooda, managing director of Khalifa Juma Al-Nabooda Group of companies and the dealers of Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
ESA Gulf Organizes Health Care Forum
MANAMA, 18 June 2007 — ESA Gulf, the Graduate School of Business & Finance, with the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), is holding a seminar entitled “The Stakes of Healthcare Services: Quality and Competitiveness” at AGU’s premises in Salmaniya, today. The seminar marks the launch of ESA Gulf’s new Executive Masters in Hospital Management and Healthcare Governance, under the umbrella of the Graduate School of Business and Finance. Phone Recycling Collection Bins
ABU DHABI, 18 June 2007 — Etisalat launched the opening of mobile phone recycling collection points at its business centers across the UAE to support UAE National Mobile Phone Recycling Campaign at a press conference in Dubai yesterday. Anyone can now safely dispose of their old device by bringing it to an Etisalat Business Center and depositing the phone in a specially marked box. The mobile phones will then be taken to a special facility in Dubai Investment Park, before being sorted and shipped to manufacturers for recycling or safe destruction. Etisalat will establish mobile phone collection bins at each of their business centers across all emirates. The campaign is led by UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, among others.
