YANBU, 28 June 2007 — In a field visit to 481 shops, 73 stores in Yanbu were handed warnings for not meeting Saudization requirements. The notices were handed by the Saudization Committee at Yanbu’s Labor Office. Stores visited included cell phone shops, home appliance stores, hotels, jewelry shops, stationery stores, industrial workshops, real estate offices and construction offices. Yanbu Labor Office chief Muhammad Qarwan said the visit was aimed at encouraging establishments to employ Saudis.
