AMMAN, 17 July 2007 — Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram survived a car accident last Friday while driving on the international airport road in southern Amman in Jordan on her way to the Water City Theme Park where she was scheduled to perform.
She suffered some minor injuries but was able to attend the function an hour and a half late. The event organizers announced to the waiting fans that the delay was caused by a traffic accident involving the singer, according to online newspaper egypty.com.
On her arrival the singer apologized and held a short press conference to explain in detail what had happened before starting the concert. Though she was visibly upset, Nancy sang several of her most popular hits for an hour and a half. A rising Lebanese star Joseph Attieh and winner of the reality show Star Academy also participated in the concert.
Nancy is scheduled to hold another concert in the Jarash Festival in Jordan after a few weeks.
