MANAMA, 28 July 2007 — Bahrain-based Investment Dar Bank, a new mega Islamic investment bank licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) with paid-up capital of $200 million and an authorized capital of $1 billion, opens its door for business tomorrow. The bank is upbeat to play a vital role in reshaping the Islamic banking business trends, a top official at the bank said on Thursday. The founding member and Chairman of the board Abdul Latif A. Janahi said that the bank would be up and running starting next week would be looking at increasing its paid-up capital to $500 million in next five years.
