JEDDAH — Al-Ahli club launched its new official website on Saturday at www.alahlisaudi.net. The website receives up to 55,000 online visitors daily. According to the chairman of the club, Ahmed Al-Marzouqi, the website will soon have advertisements to boost the club’s income. The website features articles and photos on the club’s various sports.
Ittihad Renew Al-Qahtani Contract
JEDDAH — Al-Ittihad club has agreed to extend the contract of Abdulrahman Al-Qahtani, on loan from Al-Ittifaq, for another season, according to credible sources, after negotiations with Al-Ittifaq club president Abdulaziz Al-Dossari.
Meantime, employees at Ittihad club have been complaining about the delay in the payment of their salaries for the fifth month running. The unpaid salaries reached a total of SR 2.5 million.
Maan Manan, a translator at the club, cited the difficulties in paying the hospitals bills incurred when his wife gave birth to their baby. For his part, club president Jamal Abu Omarah said he was still awaiting the proceeds from the contracts the club signed with sponsoring companies to help raise the amount.
But the employees said the club benefactors who are known for their great support could probably help solve the problem.
