RIYADH, 29 February 2008 — In one fell swoop McAfee Warriors put themselves in position to claim back-to-back championships as they swept the honors on offer on the penultimate week of eliminations in the Steak House Wednesday Night Bowling League 3rd Conference at the Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel lanes here.

Three down at the start of the session, McAfee Warriors reclaimed the lead from RBC Patriots with a comprehensive 11-5 victory over Pacific Cargo on total pinfalls of 3,821 and 3,620.

Jeff Jimenez doubled the joy for the defending champions when he clinched Bowler of the Week honors at a series of 823 on lines of 191, 231, 184, 189 and 28 handicap.

While the Warriors were in total control against the Cargo masters disaster struck the Patriots at this critical stage of their title campaign. They lost 10-2 against Steak House and might have compromised their chances with three weeks left in the competition on total pinfalls of 3,763-3,306.

Agimat Rabatitat looked to have third place in the bag with another impressive 9-2 triumph over Cool Runnings on total pinfalls of 3,638-3,486.

RTB Team defeated Saco Hardware 6-3 (3,427-3,352) and Bowl Fanatics downed A. M. Aldrees & Son Holding Co. 5-2 (3,431-3,321) in the other matches in the five-man team league event sponsored by Steak House restaurant through its general manager Ihsan Dalati.

Team captain Manny Isles did a good support job to Jimenez, rolling a solid four-game series of 812, while Doy Del Moral added 783 and Eddie Eder 720. Ed Maduro and Cas Encila rounded out the scoring with 527 and 156.

The Patriots played like they were but a mere shadow of their old deadly selves and Steak House cashed in with Rico Feria hitting 831, Arnold Jesena 778, Arnold Marhan 732, Johny Pencilla 712, Ronald Bautista 559 and Mike Mangubat 151.

Agimat received solid contributions of 749 from Art Yukong and 721 from Wilson Bacala.

Noli Bueno and Romy Goliat headed the Bowl Fanatics charge with 719 and 701, while Rey Blancia made 699 to go with the 672 by Nelson Complido and 640 from Frank Ranera.

Fareed Aquino was the top man at RTBC Team with 774 followed by Noel de Leon with 682 and Shakur Kamlian with 677.
