RIYADH, 2 April 2008 — Under the patronage of Prince Khalid ibn Sultan ibn Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs the 2nd Mohammedia Championship starts its two-day today at the Public Security Training in Riyadh.

Organized by Mohammedia in cooperation with the King Abdul Aziz Center for Arabian Horses in Dirab and ECAHO, the prestigious championship features Arabian purebred horses and sponsored by Dayem Holding Company.

Prince Talal ibn Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, CEO of Quentassentally, one of Dayem Holding companies said: “A number of pure Arabian horses will compete in the championship in accordance with international preset regulations.

An awarding ceremony will be held at the close of the championships to honor the winners in the presence the owners of the participating horses as well as a number of dignitaries”.

The championship will provide racing enthusiasts and the general public a better appreciation of Arabian pure horses, considered the best breed for many centuries,” The championship comprises various categories namely: foals, fillies, Saudi pure foals, Saudi pure fillies, Saudi pure mares, Saudi pure stallions, the most beautiful head, the highest points and the most beautiful move.
