JEDDAH, 6 April 2008 — Al-Hilal emerged winners after beating Ohud 87-70 last night in the second match of the best-of-three finals in the Saudi Basketball Federation Elite Eight Playoffs at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal sports complex here. Ohud opened a big lead in the first period but Hilal cut it to 6 points and by the end of the first quarter, Ohud were leading 23-17. Hilal went ahead in the second period 43-40. The game stayed close in the third with Hilal still on top 58-52. Once again, the combination of Priest Lauderdale and Ishmail Mohammad took over the game with Hilal leading by 25 points at one time. They finished Ohud off under the basket accounting for 51 points of the total score.

Priest Lauderdale had 31 points and Ishmail Mohammad had 20, with Arthur Davis adding 13 for Hilal. Ohud’s top men were Jihad Mohammad with 14, Daryl Jones 13, Waleed Al-Medani 11, and Suliman Camera 10. Hilal’s inside passing made the difference, with 7’3” Priest in the middle.
