RIYADH, 16 April 2008 — Dirab Golf Club has hired a golf professional who will help run the Saudi Junior Golf Development Program at the Dirab Golf Academy.
Pakistani Shafiq Masih, 31, will be kept busy starting next week when the program accepts enrollees.
The minimum age requirement is 8 years old and subscription to the program is free, according to Dirab Golf Club Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani.
The Pakistani golf pro brings with him a wealth of experience to the academy. Masih was the national champion in 2005, the year he also won the Faycal Bank Open.
He was trained by golf pros at Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club and attended a lot of golf clinics.
Among his accolades, Masih was named Best Trainer of the Year and selected among the top 7 golf professionals in Pakistan.
