JEDDAH, 8 May 2008 — A forum to highlight the development and importance of sports titled, “The International Forum for Physical Culture and Sports Management” will be held June 3 to 4 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Ghantoot Center for Consulting, Training and Conferences is organizing the event under the supervision of the UAE General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare. According to Tarik Al-Sheikh, executive manager, the event attracts doctors and professors from around the world and is open for all people who are interested to attend. Entry fee is $400.
Al-Sheikh said over the phone from UAE this event is dedicated especially to sport organization and Olympic committees, the private and governmental sectors, fitness clubs, sports clubs, sport coaches, athletes, and employees in the sports fields, doctors and specialists in sports medicine.
Among the speakers, he said, are Professor Fawzi Al-Khudairi, and Dr. Khalid Tahir (Lebanon), Dr. Omar Al-Sheikh, Dr. Hashim Al-Kelani, Dr. Nehad Al-Batekhi (Jordan), Dr. Mohammed Khudair and Dr. thanaa Mohammed (Syria), Dr. Fathi Nasseir, Dr. Nadir Shalabi (Egypt), Dr. Jamal Basihi (Yemen), Dr. Fadil Al-Khalidi and Dr. Othman Al-Biyati (Iraq), and Dr. Nassir Al-Amri (UAE).
The Arab Federation for Physical Culture also is contributing to the event along with the UAE General Sport Federation for Governmental Establishments, and the British National Academy for Physical Culture that will issue the certificate of participation for each participant.
In addition, the event features subjects such as human beings physiology, healing food (macrobiotic), exercising and bone health, obesity the disease of the era, contemporary sports administration, psychological skills, smoking effect on athletes performance, doping, sports professionalism, Arab women athletes (reality and aspiration), fighting aging, aerobic sports of the era, sport biology, and physical fitness and how it helps control weight.
