RIYADH: Flore Bouzanne continued her run of successes at Dirab Golf Club course, winning the overall Best Gross title in the Dirab Ladies Group March Monthly Medal tournament on Tuesday.
A month after winning the overall Best Net crown, Bouzanne, a Filipino-French married to a Frenchman of Saudi Oger in Riyadh, became the Best Gross champion after shooting a 94.
She actually tied with Denise Holding at the end of the 18-hole full handicap stroke play competition but won the countback that compared their back nine scores.
The petite Bouzanne carried her game well despite having to play with her new handicap of 19, a testament to how much she has improved all these years.
The 20-handicap Holding, however, did not go home empty-handed as she took the Alpha Group (0-28 handicap) title with a net 74. Junko Akito was the runner-up on 77.
The overall Best Net likewise was decided via the countback with Inge Gueltling winning over Evelyn Jensen after both players tied on 72.
Jensen settled for the Omega Group crown with Liz Dugan runner-up on 74.
In the Beta Group (29-35), Charlotte Dehnke and Helle Klingenberg were the winners on 77 and 80.
Bouzanne showed her longest drive award during the Members-Guests Tournament four days before was no fluke by capturing the same award on Tuesday.
Charlotte Dehnke claimed the closest to the pin plum and Jensen was the lucky raffle draw prize winner for a dinner for two gift voucher from Radisson SAS Riyadh Hotel.
The Dirab Ladies Group thanked Radisson SAS GM Mohammad Benamar for his continued support of its monthly medal events.
