JEDDAH: Mohammad Al-Daie, one of the worlds’s most distinguished goalkeepers, has decided to unite Castrol’s passion for performance and his extraordinary skills and experience, which will position him as the official ‘Castrol Football Ambassador’ for the GCC region, where he will participate in numerous activities aimed at strengthening the football platform in the region.

Al-Daie obtained 181 international caps with the Saudi national team. His penalty shoot-out heroics won the 1996 Asian Cup for the Kingdom, and he helped the Saudi national football team reach the World Cup in 1994, 1998, and 2002.

Moreover, Al-Daie, who plays for Al-Hilal club, was short-listed for the 1996 Asian Player of the Year award. Testimony to his excellent skills was when Manchester United scouted Al -Daie in 2001.
