JEDDAH: Rampant Insektos pulled farther away from the pack with a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double during the 10th session of the Faris Trading Monday Night Bowling League 11th Season at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center in Mosadia Plaza here.

Already the league’s first perfect 48 points scorer the Insektos became the first team with the most number of Team of the Week victories at five after compiling the top tally of 45.5 points.

The previous week honoree, Jeddah Lanes, came in second on 38.5 points followed by Faris Trading 36.5 and Sky Freight-TFC 35.5.

International and Al Mottawer Group tied on 33 points with Grave Vibration topping 20 points at 21 for seventh place on the night.

The rest of the teams failed to hit the 20-points mark. My Angel tallied 18 points, Shawly and Inserts Amigo tied on 17, Bugshan had 10 and D’ Barkads made 7 points.

Mark Hernandez completed an Insektos double when he shot the high series of 739 on lines of 225, 232 and 246 and bagged the Bowler of the Week award.

Insektos bowled steady all evening and profited from the up and down performance of their rivals for honors. Andy Yumena and Mao Orolfo backed up Hernandez with rounds of 654 and 616, while Rey Beltran was the other player to do full games at 615. Zaldy Parinas added 237-225 and Nonie Yap 234.

Jeddah Lanes, a distant second to Insektos in the team standings, used a single set of five players with Cesar Monares at the helm on 674. Rene Santiago had 673, Victor Pagayon 641, Gerry Tano 620, and Ladio Gonzales 582.

Faris Trading got a big lift from the pair of Nick Gozun and Abet Sarte, who carded 680 and 663, in the five-man rotation that included Val Magsino 617, league organizer Igna Salgado 648, and Bonnie Garcia 571.

Sky Freight-TFC, rebounding from a poor display the previous week, received 675 from James Galvan, 656 from Randy Mata and 627 from Goying Salazar.

International, the first game winner, had Jhun Estifano as the top man on 652, while Rene Martinez contributed 626, Jess Pineda 601 and Zaldy Bacero 600.

For Mottawer, it was Waheeb Kamfar at the top of the scoring ladder at 676 followed by Kamal Banjar at 643 and Faisal Fintayani at 606.
