A delegation from the commission will include several officials headed by Alaa Abdullah Nassif, the authority’s general manager of strategic planning and investment development.

Nassif said the participation of the Royal Commission aims to showcase its pioneering experience in the construction and management of industrial cities, in addition to promoting Jubail and Yanbu as attractive and distinctive investment areas.

He also mentioned the role of the commission in encouraging the private sector to participate in the development of Jubail and Yanbu and develop a solid industrial sector providing technical training and rehabilitation programs for local talent and developing plans that meet industrial requirements in the short and long term.

He said this would certainly pave the way for further industrial interaction between the GCC and the rest of the world.

Nassif pointed out that the conference, which begins on Sunday, would discuss important industrial-related strategies in GCC countries, in addition to ways of planning sustainable downstream industries, exhibiting global investment opportunities in petrochemicals and methods of confronting the challenges facing the Gulf petrochemical industry.

Nassif said that during conference activities, numerous work papers and experiences in petrochemical industries and their role in the growth of universal investments would be discussed.

It is expected that the conference will witness the participation of more than 300 industries and 24 countries specialized in the petrochemicals field.
