- ISTANBUL: After one year of ALJ Turkey acquiring Toyota operations in Turkey, Toyota sales have risen by 52 percent in Turkey compared with the previous year.
This was highlighted at the third Toyota Dealers Conference in Turkey recently. Toyota dealers from all over Turkey attended the conference, in addition to top executives from Toyota Turkey, Abdul Latif Jameel Company (ALJ) and Toyota International.
Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel welcomed the gathering and expressed his pleasure to meet with the dealers.
Fadi Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, deputy chairman of Toyota Turkey announced that Toyota sales for the year 2010 increased by 52 percent, compared to the previous year, in the midst of an overall rise of 10 percent in Turkey's automobile market. Fadi Jameel recognized the efforts of the Turkish government and the generous support it provides to businessmen to invest in Turkey.
Ali Haydar Bozkurt, CEO Toyota Turkey, introduced a general analysis about the economics and forecasts for automobile market in Turkey for the upcoming years. Bozkurt highlighted Toyota's strategy for the following years in the Turkish market, stating that the new Toyota headquarters in Turkey would certainly help the automobile giant to serve Toyota users better.
