On a quiet afternoon, the view and music was exhilarating and reminiscent of rich and entertaining Arab ambiance. Quality is maintained in details, and the waiters who speak French, Arabic and Spanish are joyful as they serve.
To say the least, the menu is exhausting. So they provide a more viable solution: The iPad menu.
The first of its kind in Jeddah, it was a pleasure looking through the extensive variety offered on a silver iPad platter. The miscellaneous but surprising selection of sandwiches, mini-burgers and risotto is remarkable. Mornings are served with generous servings from the fresh assortment. The Mix cheese croissant was a combustion of a selection of cheeses (cheddar, jack and Swiss) with tomato, lettuce, and oregano with raspberry dressing you can try it with the salad boutique omelet served with bell pepper, cheddar, fresh mushrooms, parsley and dill. The breakfast platters present a range from Arabic, English and French to American varieties. The hot salad boutique platter consists of potato and corn salad tossed with mayo, feta cheese served with tomato and mint, Assorted French cheese and cold cuts, honey, jam, butter, olives, cucumber, tomato and pickles.
Appetizers are varieties on their own like spicy edamame and more familiar tone of BBQ chicken with spicy teriyaki sauce. Salads are another story, with genres of green salad, pasta salad, chicken salad, beef salads and seafood salads. Chicken nachos salad consists of grilled chicken BBQ breast, beef bacon, cheddar cheese, boiled egg, corn, served with ranch dressing and Doritos. Salad proportions are large and certainly suffice for two or more people. Definitely worth a try. Signature Salads fold the role of salads into the menu, and you can choose a personalized signature salad too. Mini burgers such as the Absolutely Burger is a grilled burger, with cheddar cheese, grilled onions, jalapeno and ranch dressing, and is an absolute burger, with the right makings. Juicy and delectable. Light sandwiches offer a calorie count for weight watchers, such as the grilled chicken and veggie sandwich (318 calories) is a mixture of grilled chicken, bell pepper, fresh mushroom, onion, pickles, light cheddar cheese and light mayo.
Delicious juices harvested into the mushroom risotto prepared with arborio rice flavored with porcini mushroom and parmesan. The delightful, lip smacking venture was hot and had the makings of a craving crusher. Smooth butter and flavored seasoning added pizzazz to a mundane risotto.
Passion fruit is a mood booster and a refreshing drink, with an energy booster with fruity bites. Definitely in sync with the zealous music beats. The desserts were unfortunately a run down for SB standards. The chocolate cake was stiff, although interesting in aesthetics like the tempura vanilla. But cold, unsmooth and barely breakable was nothing to bite into or write home about. Be ready to dole out a sum, as you might end up spending a minimum of SR50 – 100 per person. A pleasurable for a girls time out, even the pink take-away bags were quite candylicious for ladies. Salad Boutique is an art piece around the corner, ready to razzle-dazzle as the new contemporary boutique eatery.
