Boxing purists would, but the lure of Manny Pacquiao is such that any time he enters the ring these days it’s a big event. He faces Shane Mosley in a welterweight fight Saturday night that has been sold out for months in Las Vegas.

Both fighters appeared at their final pre-fight press conference Wednesday, and both proclaimed themselves in great shape and ready to fight.

For Pacquiao, the fight is yet another chance to show off his blazing speed that helped him dismantle Antonio Margarito last November in Dallas. Mosley, meanwhile, needs to look good to make fight fans forget his loss last year to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mosley said the scheduled 12-round fight should get very interesting, very quick, because both fighters like to exchange punches.
