The magazine awarded Mobily the title based on its phenomenal profitability, runaway popularity and huge traffic on its state-of-the-art broadband network, all of which made Mobily the region’s undisputed sector leader.

Mobily has begun the first quarter of the year 2011, by posting up to 40 percent increase in its net profit compared with the same quarter of previous year, thus marking a big leap surpassed the views of analysts and their expectations, in addition, signing in February a contract to build the biggest and largest 4G network in the region through its subsidiary company “Bayanat Alola.”

On behalf of Mobily, the award was received by Homoud Al-Ghobaini, vice president for communication and public relations, who said the award was the culmination of the strategic plans and projects pursued by the company in the telecommunications sector in addition to a number of products and services offered by the company.

Ghobaini said the new strategy, announced by Mobily last year, will be a supplementing fundamental to further achievements of international recognitions, based on stretching strength from the careful reading of the future of communications in the region in addition to compatibility with the global trend for both broadband sections, fixed and mobile.

The ceremony, which was held for the 11th year in a row, took place at Alfaisaliah Hotel, Riyadh.

More than 250 businessmen and senior executives in Saudi companies as well as media representatives took part in the event.
