- JEDDAH: A brace by Victor Simoes enabled Al-Ahli to score a comfortable 4-0 win over Najran during the third week of the Saudi Professional Soccer League match played at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium on Friday night.
Watched by a large gathering on the Saudi National Day, Simoes gave his team the lead at the half hour and then doubled the score five minutes later converting a penalty.
Moatiz Al-Mosa scored the third goal in the 62nd minute while Imad Ali Al-Hosni rounded of the during injury time.
In another match, Al-Hilal struggled to get past Al-Taawon by a solitary goal scored by Mohammed Nami, which came in the 66th minute at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.
At the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium, Khalid Al-Rujaib scored a couple of minutes before the break to give Hajer a 1-0 victory over Al-Ansar.
