- JEDDAH: The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) ended in the green on Tuesday at 6,743.55, up 4.64 points or 0.07 percent, from its previous day’s close at 6,738.91 points.
The value of Saudi traded shares reached SR8.35 billion.
Participation was moderate on Tuesday. Specifically, 336.6 million shares exchanged hands on the Saudi stock market. The 50-day average for trading volume was closer to 299.9 million shares. The volume chart was led by Alinma with trades of over 54.8 million shares.
Takween shares began trading Tuesday on Tadawul with opening price of SR60.00 and closed at SR58.50. Its IPO (initial public offering) price was SR26.00 and on the first day it recorded a gain of 125 percent. During the day, Trade Union came out as the biggest loser amongst all TASI stocks. It shares dropped 8.07 percent. Salama Insurance was top gainer with a gain of 7.12 percent.
Takween topped the value chart on the Saudi stock market with a turnover of SR1.37 billion. It was followed by Alinma with a turnover of SR570.9 million.
Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) shares climbed 0.4 percent after Riyad Capital upped its price target on the company on Monday, Reuters reported.
"We believe rising free cashflows and declining debt burden has cushioned Mobily to distribute more cash to shareholders," says Riyad Capital, which kept its "buy" rating on the stock.
