The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) after losing 40 points earlier yesterday continued inching its way higher to end the day in the green at 7,907.41 points, up 72.26 points or 0.92 percent. The index witnessed a year-to-date yield of 23.81 percent.

Overall performance of Saudi sectors indices remained positive. Telecommunication & IT and Petrochemical Industries sectors were at top, showing a daily growth of 2.4 percent to close at 2,256.14 and 7,437.68 respectively.

On the other hand, four sectors were slightly down and lost an aggregate of 83.68 points. Insurance sector was the worst performer with 0.95 percent decline.

Most of heavy weights closed in green; where Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) surged by 4.19 percent and SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) by 1.62 percent.

Furthermore, Kingdom Holding Co. slipped 1.2 percent to close at SR12.3.

An adequate level of liquidity SR13.8 billion flowed into the market yesterday, an increase of 4.2 percent over the previous day.

Trading volume was impressive about 583.1 million shares exchanged hands on the Saudi stock market.

Most of the trading was concentrated in Mobile Telecommunications-Zain, which remained the most active stock for the fifth consecutive day.

Its more than 122.5 million shares were traded yesterday which accounted for 21 percent of the Tadawul volume. The value of these shares reached to SR1.3 billion, which reflected 10 percent of Tadawul liquidity.

The market breadth was positive with advance-decline ratio of 1.03:1.

Fitaihi Holding Group, Atheeb Telecom and ACE Arabia Insurance among all Saudi stocks turned in a splendid performance, soared up 9.9 percent for the day.

On the worst side, Malath Cooperative Insurance traded in the red zone for the second consecutive day and trimmed 9.9 percent further.
