IISJ Alumni Association (IISJAA) conducted a 10-week long football league tournament that ended recently with Dabangg taking the championship with  an unbeaten record from 10 matches.

The IFL (IISJAA Football League) tournament that kicked off on Jan. 18 at the Dunk Football Grounds, behind Ikea showroom on Tahlia Street was inaugurated by the legendary Indian footballer, Mohammed Habib along with Dr. Karimuddin, member of Higher Board of IISJ Managing Committee and Ghazanfar Ali Zaki.

More than 150 ex-students of IISJ participated in this event, which was organized by the IISJ Alumni Association exclusively for ex-students of IISJ. The Participating teams were Dabangg, Spartans, Regals Club, Barca, Arabian Falcons, Junior Man City, Scorpions, Never United and Terminators.

After nine action packed weeks of the league matches, the finals were played between Regals Club and Barca for the third and fourth positions, and between Dabangg and Spartans for the first and second positions. Action took off when the referee, Hassan Abdulale (Mobily employee) whistled for the start of the first match between Regals Club and Barca. It was a match to watch with some excellent skills being displayed by both teams. Full time ended with 2-2 draw, which took to penalties. Abrar Khan of Barca saved the penalty shot by Yasir Kazi of Regals Club, however it was neutralized by a miss by Nazim of Barca when he shot the kick hitting the top bar. Regals club won the match, taking the third position in the tournament.

The final match between Spartans and Dabangg ended in a 2-2 draw.
