This refers to Mohammed Arshad’s letter “Attack on Malala”. (Oct. 13 ) We still have a lot of people who would just not believe that Taleban could commit such a heinous crime on a 14-year-old girl. They have gone on record that they would kill Malala, even if she survives. This puts to rest beyond doubt that a conspiracy is being hatched by an external agency.
Mr. Arshad stretches his imagination by stating that questions are arising if the culprits were indeed Muslims. He seems convinced that even bad Muslims will not indulge in such acts. It’s a figment of imagination that makes him believe this. Every human being has a good and a bad side. You cannot brandish someone saying a bad Muslim will not commit such acts. What else do you expect from a bad person? He seems to know what acts are acceptable from a bad Muslim and what is not. It is these very thoughts that plague the society. Call a spade a spade, if you are not convinced do not confuse at least. — Bhaskara Sujeet Kumar, Riyadh
