RIYADH: KACST President Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel has said that there are 170 Saudi scientists trained by KACST, 50 of whom are women, as confirmed by Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, vice president for Research Institutes. The statement came during a press conference on Saturday prior to the Saudi International Space and Aeronautics Technology Conference of 2012 and the 2nd International Conference on Aerospace Technology at KACST headquarters.
Al-Suwaiyel noted that the conference comes within the framework of KACST interest in space technology and strengthening the role of the Kingdom in this important sector of technology, pointing out that the session will be dedicated to the Kingdom's efforts and KACST's various programs.

Boeing International Vice President Ahmad Abdul Qader Jazzar also expressed his company's initiatives in technology, pointing out that they have been providing their service and field training to Al-Faisal University Students.
