Batterjee Medical College (BMC) celebrated the graduation of its fourth batch of students on Monday (May 4), at its Sheikh Abdul Jalil Batterjee Auditorium in Jeddah.

Sobhi Batterjee, chairman of the board of trustees, stated that Batterjee Medical College has always been keen on providing students with the best educational environment, accredited international curriculums and intense practical training in order to prepare young people who are highly qualified to be active participants in their country, meet the need of development and fulfill the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

BMC Dean Dr. Hassan Shaibah said: "This year, we celebrate the graduation of the dentistry program’s first batch.”

Graduates of the 2014-2015 academic year reached 352 from all programs -102 from medicine, 65 from dentistry, 56 from pharmacy, 48 from physical therapy, 14 from radiology, 48 from nursing and 19 from health care administration, he added.

The dean said that a special committee was formed to prepare for the ceremony and organize its program to “make it a day to remember and to honor our sons and daughters who have exerted great efforts to achieve academic excellence.”

Dr. Khalid Batterjee, vice chairman of BMC’s board of trustees, said: "Graduates of this year and the years before are the fruits of our continuous effort and hard work to build energetic youth armed with a high quality education in order to contribute to the development of our beloved country."
