The Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Makkah has launched its strategic corporate social responsibility activities with a challenging new initiative entitled “Feel your Home”, designed to uplift the quality of life for low-income households by providing structural and cosmetic renovations to their living space.
The aim of FRHI is to contribute toward a sustainable, balanced and happier living space for the people residing in the heart of the holy city.
The families that see their homes renewed as part of the project will witness a comprehensive 360 degree transformation of their living spaces.
The project executer, Abdel Hamid Msaikeh, said: “We expect to see that renovations convert the lives of the people living in these houses — an outcome that we hope will result in happier families and stronger communities.”
Mohammed Hassan Arkobi, vice president and managing director of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International in Makkah, said: “There is no doubt that this project will have a positive impact on the city of Makkah and the community.”
This initiative is one of many community programs that FRHI has developed over recent years.
Khaled Yamak, the group’s director of communications and business development, believes that all major businesses have a duty toward the communities within which they operate. “We are glad to be able to deliver this project. It’s a unique concept and one that we believe is underpinned by a strong philosophy.”
One of the program’s key partners is Alesayi for Household Appliances, who will be providing with some of the very latest cutting edge appliances for the home.
Mohammad Kanawati, managing director of Alesayi for Household Appliances, said: “We’re delighted to be able to take part in an initiative that contributes positively toward development of family life.”
Saud Al-Sulaiman, deputy director heneral and executive director of IKEA stores in Saudi Arabia, commented: “We are pleased to be working alongside the Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Group in Makkah.”
