The Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) has completed all preparations and arrangements to host the 4th annual Saudi Downstream Forum in Jubail Industrial City (JIC).

The two-day event, being held with the support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, at Al-Fanateer Cultural Center from March 8 to 10, will attract all those interested in manufacturing industries at the international and local levels, including producers of basic petrochemical materials and plastic manufacturing products as well as industrial services, financial institutions, logistics companies and experts from research and development centers, and representatives from the relevant government authorities, investors and businessmen.

Abdulaziz Noorudeen Atarji, GM, RCJ's strategic planning and investment development, said: "The forum aims at contributing to the diversification of the economic base, industrial growth, and income sources, and raising the competitive advantage of manufacturing industries to attract national and international investments."

Atarji said the gathering will help in defining the best global practices in the field of manufacturing industries to achieve sustainability, and raise the added value of basic industries products through the consumption of petrochemical and mineral products in the final manufacturing.

Moreover, there will be an opportunity to highlight the role of innovation and knowledge centers in the development of the industrial sector in the Kingdom, and to achieve industrial integration between basic giant and manufacturing industries, and industrial cities, in addition to creating job opportunities for Saudi youth, the official said.

The Royal Commission's cities are characterized with an integrated set of services and infrastructures. Their strategic location attracts both local and international investors to implement many giant projects there based on oil and gas as raw materials.

JIC has become one of the largest cities in the world in the field of petrochemical industries.
