Huawei has introduced a new edition of its smartphone aimed to attract young Saudis who crave for enhanced mobile technology.
The P8 has been especially designed by Huawei to attract men and women of 18 to 35 years of age who believe in creativity to share their experiences, Alex Jiang Boya device manager of Huawei, told Arab News.
The company plans to sell some 6 million new devices globally and 100,000 within the Kingdom. The company, established in 1988, has its presence in 170 countries and its annual revenue reached $46.5 billion last year. “We spend around 10 percent of the revenue on R&D, which helps the company improve with changing technology,” Boya added.
He noted that the company has a well-equipped training center in the Kingdom to train its staff on the latest technologies in the smart phone industry.
It is a new era of smart phone technology that has been made available to the Middle East market with the launch of Huawei P8, he said, adding that once again it is redefining the smart phone industry. “Its exciting features, cutting-edge technology, durability and sleek design allow consumers to ignite their creativity,” he said.
He added: “Building on the rich heritage of the P Series, the Huawei P8 takes beauty to the next level, striking a perfect balance of artistry, creativity and functionality. The Huawei P8 delivers a new level of usability for different applications impacting everyday life — at work and at play. With craftsmanship that pushes the bounds of possibility and new revolutionary light painting modes, the Huawei P8 provides consumers with an inspiration for creativity.”
Inspired by the design elements of leather-bound handcrafted book binding, the Huawei P8 combines clean, aesthetic lines with innovative technology, beauty and elegance. The phone comes with four elegant color options — silver, gold, black and grey.
