Farisbowling.com tastes Team of the Week victory

JEDDAH: Farisbowling.com claimed just reward for its steady display when it clinched Team of the Week honors during the 15th session in the Faris Trading Monday Night Bowling League 16th Season at Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.
In claiming its breakthrough Team of the Week victory Farisbowling returned the top tally of 36 points, well in front of D’ Barkads who pooled 33 points in second place on the night.
League leader MC Hammer missed the 30-point mark by a hair on 29 with Taurus RDLR, at second place in the team standings, two points adrift on 27. Jem Strikers followed on 26 while Brothers 4 Ever and Cee Bee Aviation tied on 18.5 points. Jeddah Lanes, Boungaville Phil and Mottawer Engineering were the last three to check on with 15, 13 and 4 points in that order.
Saudi bowler Amro Al Amri of D’ Barkads pushed his total number of Bowler of the Week awards to five, the most of any player, when he fired the high series of 711 (249, 237, 225) on a good scoring night for most of the players.
Farisbowling finished strong after going 3-3 in the first two games by topping the third game and overall output, with the trio of Edu Toledo, Jimmy Aragones and Igna Salgado showing the way.
Toledo carded 654, Aragones had 647 and Salgado added 617. Nick Gozun compiled 212-258, Gerry Mandanas 216-166 and Cesar Monares 181-192.
Victor Pagayon and Darwin Genese shot 662 and 606 while Rey Beltran and Leo Edejer contributed 586 and 567 to support Al Amri and complete a single set of five scorers at D’ Barkads.
Zaldy Bacero hit 684, a score bettered only by Al Amri’s effort, to be at the vanguard of MC Hammer. Randy Mata and Jay Bengco tossed in 604 and 626 to go with the 179-194 by Alex Flora and 199 by June Estefano.
Raul delos Reyes fired the third-best score of 675 at the helm of Taurus RDLR, which also netted 650 from Nap Patayan, 601 from James Galvan, 589 from Larry Santos, 205-174 from Obie Ycasas and 179 from Edwin Ronquillo.
Jem Strikers, who were knocked out of the top three over the last three weeks, had Majid Aslani and Paolo Allego dishing the leading scores of 641 and 635 with Efren San Pedro on 594, Mike Tambasin 553, Val Magsino 199-168 and Jeff San Pedro 202.
