IICJ activities in focus at delegates’ meet

The Indian Islahi Center Jeddah (IICJ) organized an "All-India Delegates Meet" recently.
The meet was one of 30 programs scheduled as part of IICJ’s 30th anniversary celebration. Sayeeduddin from Andra Pradesh inaugurated the meet.
Akbar Bacha from Tamil Nadu opened the discussion. Dr. Naseem Akthar from Bihar, Mohamed Amin from Gujarat, Shahid Ali from UP, Absar Ahmed from AP, and various other dignified personalities presented their suggestions to improve the welfare of Indian Muslims.
Various activities and achievements of IICJ since its inception in 1982 were presented by Abdul Lathief. There was a melodious recitation of the Qur’an by Qari Imran Khan and a brief speech on the need to learn the holy book.
IICJ had a simple start in Jeddah with the coordinated efforts of prominent Indian Muslim leader Dr. Hussain Madavoor while he was studying at Umm Al-Qura University.
“Today, under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed Marzooq Al Harithy, IICJ organizes a wide range of activities among the expatriate communities in Jeddah with emphasis on teaching the Qur’an and Sunnah,” said Basheer Vallikkunnu. IICJ has its youth, students and ladies wings.
Salah Karadan, former chairman of the IISJ Managing Committee, Mohammed Ali Chundakadan, advisory board chairman, and Ahmed Kutty Madani spoke during the event. Assainar, treasurer, delivered the welcome speech, Moosakoya Pulikkal presided over the meet and Serhan Parappil gave the vote of thanks.
