Ehsaan Saleh Siraj Taieb, the acting secretary-general of the International Islamic Relief Organization in Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) recently held talks with Antoine Bieler, representative for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Frontiers (MSF) in the Middle East and humanitarian advocate.
During the meeting, which took place at the IIROSA’s headquarters in Jeddah, Bieler briefed the Secretary General on the structure of MSF and highlighted the innovative medical methods used by the organization in treating the vulnerable and poor people around the world.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss expanding areas of cooperation between the two organizations and possible future joint projects. The two figures also agreed and stressed upon the importance of investing more in building the capacity of the medical staff to serve members of the community most in need.
Taieb briefed the delegation on the IIROSA’s work and humanitarian activities including the charitable achievements of the organization. He expressed a high interest in expanding the areas of cooperation between IIROSA and MSF to further collaborate in humanitarian activities, including health awareness programs and other matters of common interest.
Bieler, in turn, expressed his gratitude to IIROSA for their support and coordination in treating the Rohingya people in MSF’s medical center in Bangladesh.
Moreover, he emphasized the importance of developing a joint partnership between the two organizations and expressed his deep appreciation to the commitment displayed by the IIROSA’s health department staff to drive the medical project for Rohingya people into success.
He also said that this visit comes along MSF’s endeavor to foster its relation with IIROSA.
