The picture along with the report “Bihar: Impossible to stop exam cheating” (March 20) was really shocking. What is the use of sitting an exam in this way? This indicates that there is great need for reviewing the Indian education system, which heavily relies on rote learning. Due to this, it is easy to cheat in exams. Instead of a set pattern of questions, the authorities should introduce analytical questions and MCQs so as to effectively fight this menace.
After reading the report, some of my friends were of the view that police should be deployed at the examination center. This is not the solution to this problem. — Faheemuddin, Jubail
