This is with reference to the article “The price of disunity” (May 30) by Harun Yahya. The writer has aptly identified the root cause of all the problems facing the Muslim world. His article also lends credence to various theories regarding arms manufacturers or the military-industrial complex engineering wars in the Middle East to boost sales of weapons. Unfortunately, these forces have succeeded in turning the Middle East into a cauldron of chaos. They are supplying arms to all the parties to the conflicts and having a field day. We should realize our folly and try to mend our ways for lasting peace in the Muslim world. All our resources and talents are being wasted on infighting. Instead of focusing on differences, we should try to find common grounds to live in harmony with each other. These divisions have rendered us ineffective on the world’s stage.
