US President Barack Obama will always be remembered for his beautiful speeches. He articulates each word with precision. Who could forget his speech in Cairo and his oration at Nelson Mandela’s funeral?
On both occasions, he captivated the audience and received standing ovations. I believe that President Obama is a very sincere person, who means every word he utters. Unfortunately, due to changing political dynamics at the domestic and global levels, he did not achieve much in terms of global peace and stability. Holding him responsible for all the problems is nothing but sheer ignorance.
One individual, no matter how powerful he might be, cannot change the world alone.
Communication experts have started to draw comparisons between President Obama and Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy due to his oratory skills.
Obama’s style is, however, a bit different from those two leaders. He usually does not get unnecessarily emotional during his speeches. In his last address to both Houses as the president of America, he once again showed his brilliance. The part I liked the most in his speech was, when he said, “When politicians insult Muslims, when a mosque is vandalized, or a kid is bullied, that doesn’t make us safer. That’s not telling like it is, it’s just wrong… and it betrays who we are as country.”
