This is in response to the story “Road accidents cost KSA SR 87 bn annually.” I like Saudi Arabia as an expatriate; however, I hate driving on the Kingdom roads and streets. Really most drivers do not know how to drive. They drive very selfishly and recklessly. They do not obey traffic regulations. As far as I see, even police officers do not care about these reckless drivers. Unfortunately, they are very tolerant against Saudi citizens who break traffic rules. The government must put this serious issue on the agenda as a priority. This issue must be handled urgently. Australia and Canada, multicultural countries like Saudi Arabia, can be taken as model countries to find a way out of this horrific disaster. I really want the Kingdom to be a civilized country that displays the beauty of Islam. A reader, by e-mail
