Some 21 employees representing the second batch of industrial security men at Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) have recently completed a training program on the development of basic skills at the Training College, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
The training program, which ran for three days, was aimed at introducing the concept of security, promotion of security awareness among trainees and expanding their knowledge on protection of industrial facilities.
The trainees were also briefed on how to detect sources of risks, face terrorist acts and discover materials exposing threats to industrial facilities and how to deal with such threats through coordination with departments operating outside the company.
The trainees also received a special program on self-defense, conduction of first aid in cases of emergency and disasters and awareness on the principles of public relations and how to promote relations with different organizations.
At the close of the training session, Maj-Gen Ali Al-Ruwaili, the head of special programs at the Training College, distributed certificates to the trainees.
