DUBAI: Local authorities in Amman have placed seven residential buildings under lockdown due to an outbreak of COVID-19, state news agency Petra has reported.
The capital’s governor, Saad Shehabi, said security and medical teams have been deployed to deal with the outbreak and ensure residents follow lockdown measures.
The buildings, which are located in separate areas across Amman, were sterilized and swab tests have been conducted during the isolation.
The lockdown measure will last until tests results are announced.
