34th BSF Desert Classic Tennis Tournament set to roll

The Riyadh InterContinental Hotel and Banque Saudi Fransi are staging again the biggest tennis tournament in Riyadh this season the 34th BSF Desert Classic Tennis Tournament.
Mounir Melliti, Riyadh InterCon’s recreation manager and the chairman of the tournament formally announced that the tournament will start on April 4 and run until May 3.
A total cash prize of SR 60,000 and gift certificates are awaiting the winners of the following categories: men’s open singles, men’s B singles, men’s C singles, men’s over 45 Singles, men’s open doubles, men’s B doubles, men’s C doubles, and junior 12 and 16 under.
Banque Saudi Fransi, the major sponsor of the tournament and an advocate of sports activities is in full support in promoting tennis in the Kingdom. The tournament is co- sponsored by Power Horse.
With Melliti in the Tournament Committee are Willie Biay, tournament director, and Marvin Espina, tournament referee with Danny Guiao of Friday Morning Tennis Club , Mark Jorolan, Del Serrano and Joey Salem as members.
