NEW HAVEN, Connecticut: The father of one of the children killed in the Newtown school shooting says he’s not surprised by anything in the newly released search warrants in the case but they do remind him of that awful day.
Mark Barden, whose 7-year-old son Daniel was among 20 first-graders killed at Sandy Hook Elementary, says he was already aware of most of the details that emerged Thursday. He said his son was “a light of positive energy” in his house and is sorely missed.
One of the grassroots groups that have formed in Newtown, Sandy Hook Promise, said attention should focus not on the shooter but on preventing future tragedies.
The documents revealed that a cache of weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition were found in the home of gunman Adam Lanza.
