Al-Amal flyover in Jeddah partially opens to traffic

Part of the SR 100 million Al-Amal Road flyover in north Jeddah was opened Thursday, immediately easing traffic from the north to the south.
Al-Amal Road has multiple connections, to the airport, Haramain Expressway, King Fahd and Hera Street on one side and Prince Sultan Street and King Abdulaziz Road on the other side.
The flyover heading south to north is under construction and will be completed soon. Al-Amal Road has more than six bridges intersecting it.
The tunnel of Prince Majed, intersecting with Tahlia Street, one of the city's longstanding projects, will be opened in May, according to Jeddah municipality.
Inside the city, the Jeddah municipality flyovers and tunnels are in various stages of construction. New bridges are being built for the Haramain High-Speed Railway.
A number of bridges have been removed and rebuilt, including Briman and Tahlia bridges.
